Installing AozoraMD on macOS

This app has no Developer ID signature or Apple notarization. macOS may block the first launch with an “Apple could not verify…” or “unidentified developer” message. To run it, you need to allow it in System Settings.

These steps apply to an unverified developer warning. If macOS says the app will damage your computer or is damaged, stop and check the download; do not bypass that warning.

First launch

1. Open the downloaded DMG. Drag AozoraMD into your Applications folder.
2. Open AozoraMD. If macOS cannot verify the developer, close the alert without moving the app to the Bin.
3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll to Security and look for Open Anyway beside AozoraMD. Apple says this option is available for about an hour after you try to open the app.
4. Choose Open Anyway. Enter your password or use Touch ID if asked, then choose Open. macOS remembers this permission for the app.

If the button is missing, try opening the app once more. A managed Mac may require your administrator's help.

Open a game

Open your own ROM or disc image from the app. ROMs and BIOS files are not included.
